I went to the optometrist this morning and, as I was driving home, I thought about the profession. It has to be a rewarding one; you get to help people not just simply see more clearly, but you get to help people have the tools to appreciate the beauty of the world, to read books, to do so many things that aging eyes start to limit. It’s always fascinating to get a little tweak on a prescription that you didn’t really notice needed tweaking and suddenly everything in the world seems a little bit more crisp edged.

The place it made the biggest difference for me was on the motorcycle….contact lenses made riding sooooo much better!

And, a week after getting home from a 3000km trip…what else was there todo today but go for a ride down into Washington?

Fall is still over a week away and summer is not letting go quite yet. While it was 21C along the coast today, just a few kilometres inland it was up to 28C.

A perfect day for a little ride.

I'd love to hear from you :)
