I spent the day wrapping up some final marking I had to do for one outstanding student on a standing deferral, doing some work items that I shouldn’t ahem been doing, packing and repacking, balancing things as best possible.
Slightly different packing job this time…fewer light clothes, more wool, lined waterproof gloves for warmth, a second shield (!), heavier socks….and so on.
I’ve become used to riding naked again (the bike, not me!), so to have her all loaded up again is a mental reset. When she is not loaded down she is so much lighter, so much more responsive, and doesn’t dive into corners more than I expect because of the added weight.
