Suddenly Spring (72/365/2023)

by The Philosophical Fish

This morning I walked to the hatchery in the dark, muttering most of the way about the sudden return to needing a flashlight on the trails to avoid tripping over roots…although, to be fair, after two years I pretty much know where they are, and the sound of the robins waking up in the forest was rather comforting…but I was muttering anyway, because….time change!

However….on the walk home…yes…the light was amazing.

This morning it was not only dark, but also a bit rainy.

By 4:30 it was sunny, and the light was coming into the forest at a fabulous angle…golden…and it just felt like a different season altogether.

Suddenly it feels like spring.

At least for today.

And I really do love my commute on hatchery days.

I'd love to hear from you :)
