Get out of that hiding spot!

I took this a long time ago and never got around to posting it. Like well-over-a-year-ago-kinda-long-time-ago…

I’m not sure why.

It makes me smile every time I come across it.

I think I was probably in a Flickr group of some sort at the time and kept hoping that an appropriate theme might come along that I could use it for…..and then it didn’t, and then I kind of crashed and burned creatively and went through a bit of a dark period.

Well, I’m digging my way out of it and trying to get back into seeing and thinking more creatively…..so here you go…. 🙂

I feel like the seagull is challenging the fellow to get out of his little box and stretch his legs.

Nah, he just wants whatever that guy is eating for lunch.

But I’m trying to get out of my box and start picking up the camera again, rather than just rely on the iPhone, and start writing a bit again. The photos tend to take me down thought holes, and my thoughts often make me look for a photo. Kind of a perfect foil for each other. But I’m also not going to beat myself up for using the phone….since phone cameras have come a long way since the first iterations.

I’m going to try and get back into the swing after letting this space die and go dark for a year. It took a couple of days to get the site cleaned up and fix a lot of messed up code. And I am having to relearn everything….plus a lot of new things since the software has all changed radically in the past year.

Consider this a test post……a bit of a stretch of sorts.

Baby steps for the moment…..it’s been a long time since I moved my thoughts from mind to written word, it’s a strange thing to think about starting again….maybe it’s time to put my rambling mental wanderings back down onto digital paper.
