It’s been a busy ten days worth of fence building and we called it a day fairly early today. It was a late start as our neighbours had come home late last night and we didn’t want to start nailing until we’d seen some life on their side. We were a little concerned that they might think the fence too high on their side since it’s built on a slope and feels much higher on theirs.

But they were thrilled with it.

Hard not to be when it is compared to the mess that used to be there. 😃

Whew.

So the one side is largely complete, just a few little things left to do, and hour or so of work at some later date. Then we have the inside to do, but we can pace ourselves on that and do it in panel pieces.

The yard is a disaster, but that too can be worked on a little bit at a time rather than in a marathon, as these past ten days have been.

The weather has been hot and, after the first day, the ring had to come off. At the end of today’s work I saw the two sitting on the counter next to each other and it just struck me….after thirty three years together, I think we’re a pretty good team ❤️ and therefore the image seemed like an obvious choice.

And that’s all I can muster today.
