Miniature Hibiscus

by The Philosophical Fish

Obviously it’s not, but when I looked at the image on the computer it suddenly did look like a hibiscus.

It’s a Lewesia, though it’s not the colour it was supposed to be. I don’t tend to buy/plant pink flowers and this one was supposed to be apricot coloured.

Oh well, it’s still pretty.

And I was in the garden, on a sunny Friday, that happened to also be my birthday. And although we couldn’t go out for dinner, or to a movie or a theatre performance of anything, it was a great day anyway. And Kirk called up the neighbours and they all came over with their chairs and we sat in a circle in the front yard, at a socially responsible distance, and enjoyed the company and each other’s stories 🙂

I can’t have asked for anything more; it was perfect.
