August 10, 2016 – I’m old school, I still prefer wooden pencils.
I hate mechanical pencils.
Their wimpy little leads break too easily, and half the time I grab one there is a teensy stub of lead left in it.
At least with a standard, old fashioned, wooden pencil, you can see what you have when you grab it.
They just “feel” better in my hand, and in a pinch, when my hair was longer, I can use one to put my hair into a messy bun.
Wooden pencils feed my OCD. I can make sure each one is nicely sharpened and stored eraser down so the points don’t get broken or dulled in their cup. (Usually my pencils are sharper than this, but this is a new pack that came “pre-sharpened”, which isn’t really sahrp enough for me.)
Wooden pencils also fuel Kirk’s cruelty. He can turn one pencil upside down, just to bug me.
