Abandoned (213/365)

August 1, 2015 – We made a quick run down to the USA to pick up a parcel…not thinking…forgetting that it’s a long weekend…thank goodness we have Nexus passes, even that line was busy though.

On the way back up to Canada we took a detour to stop at a nursery, but along the road I spied this wonderful old abandoned home so Kirk pulled off while I tried to not fall into a ditch while taking a few shots.

There is something so interesting about an abandoned home. What stories lie within those walls? What lives were lived there? What were their hopes and dreams? Why did they leave?

Sometimes I think, given the time, I could sit in front of a place like this for hours and make up stories for lives I’ll never know.
