April 3, 2015 – One of those days.
You know the ones…the ones that you decide to plant a couple of pansies and end up tearing out ivy, and Salal, and other things, and all of their roots, from a patch of dirt in order to free the space for planting something less wild and invasive than what’s been taking over the space for who knows how long, because your neighbour hasn’t attended to the jungle that has been his yard for who knows how many years, and you are desperately trying to depopulate as much of his yard of English ivy, which he seems to think would be an excellent plant to plant in the areas that aren’t already covered, because he knows nothing about gardening, and you really can’t tell him how much you’ve already pulled out from his space, but you do suggest several alternatives that would do well and not invade every square inch of the space it hasn’t already, and at the end of it all your back hurts from crouching, and your arms hurt from pulling with all your might, and your head kinda hurts too.
Yeah, one of those days.
Pass the pain pills please….

So let me get this straight. You’re complaining because you overdid it *gardening*? And you want sympathy? 🙂
