(346/366) Soggy Red Barn

December 11, 2012 – Another rainy day out spawning sockeye salmon at Cultus Lake and a happy red barn in a very soggy field in the small community of Yarrow.

Why there is a boat in what is little more than a puddle is beyond me.

At this time of year it’s pretty much a guarantee that a field day will involve rain. I am glad that it’s a little warmer than it was at this time last year, though not a lot, and part way through the morning I still couldn’t really feel my fingers. But it’s still a great day when you can spend it helping to rebuild a threatened stock of fish.
