November 2, 2012 – Day off today, badly needed day off! Tired from field work, frustrated by the Cohen report, and just generally in need of a day without any real plans.
Drove down across the border to pick up a couple of parcels at a shipping company office, and on the way back home I stopped in at my favourite jewellers to drop off a pendant for repair and pick up a few new Trollbeads. Dinner at the pub, and then on the way home I asked Kirk to turn around so I could take a photo of this neon sign.
Signs. Some people are always looking for them, others never recognize the ones right in front of them. I don’t believe in “signs” because they are just manifestations of our inner wishes, and we can easily twist things that have no meaning, into having meaning, so that we can justify our positions.
