Day 221 - Four Elements

221/365 (August 9, 2011) – Hot, sour, salty, sweet. The defining tastes of Asian food. I love a really good dish where those elements swirl over your tongue and bring bursts of saltines from soy or fish sauce, the tangy sourness of lemon or lime, the sweetness of palm sugar or honey, and the fiery heat of peppers (I’ll take that part in moderation though).
