211/365 (July 30, 2011) – I used to be a total corn snob, wouldn’t consider buying it until late August and into early September. And DeMille’s, it had to come from DeMille’s in Salmon Arm. They had the best corn, ever!
I don’t get to Salmon Arm very often anymore though, so DeMille’s is another of those summer pleasures of the Shuswap that have been relegated to the memory department.
Chilliwack produces excellent corn too, but I still tend to think of it as a late summer pleasure. Corn reaches the stores earlier, but it is usually like those tomatoes in January, bland and tough. But in the past few years, really tasty, crisp, sweet corn has been materializing earlier and earlier.
I still buy it assuming it will be tough, but when it isn’t, it’s such a wonderful pleasure.

Has an amazing summery feel to it!
The only thing I would say is that it should be zoomed out a bit more.
Good shot[:

Oh Yum! I bought some of this delicious golden stuff (the corn, not the butter though I love that too lol ;)) at the local farmers’ market this morning – can’t wait for dinner! You’ve made my mouth water!
