Teaching

by The Philosophical Fish

It’s sometimes hard to remember the days that I used to feel like throwing up before I had to do any form of public speaking, including teaching.

Now, from a work perspective, there are few things I enjoy more than the opportunity to engage people in learning. There is so much I always want to cover and share, and it always feels like there isn’t enough time to do it. So I really do treasure the opportunity to share information, generate discussion, get people asking questions… And the absolute best moment are when someone asks a really interesting question out of left field that I do not have the answer for, because then I have to find out what the answer is, and then I get to learn something new. I had one of those today and it challenged my knowledge of a topic in immunology. So that was fabulous.

It was fun to get the remote out and talk about fish health with a cool group of people for a couple of days.
