It’s a weekend for puttering with paint

by The Philosophical Fish

It’s grey, wet, and dismal outside. A perfect day for digging through old art supplies and seeing what I can play with.

I bought these little pots of Luminart Twinkling H2O probably 15-20 years ago when I was deep into scrapbooking. When I started a more-or-less permanent job 15 years ago the playing with art supplies things sort of languished and then fell off the radar.

With the stress of the past few years, I am coming to realize that that was a loss and I am finding my way back to disappearing into creativity as a means to stop over-thinking so much, and the stress that comes along with it.

It’s amazing how hours can vanish when I have some paper, pencils, ink, paints…..whatever, in front of me. And it’s also amazing how my heart rate settles down.

These little paints weren’t terribly expensive, and they are not the easiest to get into workable fluid form, but they are pretty when they are used in conjunction with ink-stamped images. And do they ever last!
