I think I visited the HR MacMillan Planetarium for the first time when I was about ten years old. Our family came to Vancouver to visit my aunt and uncle…a wedding for another aunt and uncle I think? I remember being blown away by the show.
A decade later I moved to Vancouver with Kirk and at some point we visited the planetarium; we lived across the water in the West End. I ‘think’ we went to a laser light show, but I don’t totally remember.
As a Christmas gift, Kirk bought tickets for a show at the planetarium….the 50th (!!!) anniversary of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon (Maybe the show’s been on for two years? Because the album was released in 2023). Anyway, ti was fabulous to be so totally immersed in the entire album in that venue. If you have a chance to go…GO!
