I did not actually know what borage was when I bought the plant. It was in the herb section, and I was putting an herb pot together.
I have purchased borage honey in years past…definitely tasty….but I’d never seen a plant before.
So it was a case of “what the hell” and I bought it and stuck it in the pot with the other herbs.
It opened its flowers yesterday, and I’m in love with the purples and blues they have to offer up. And, it turns out, the flowers are apparently edible too.
