I have a love of irises, I come by it naturally, they were also mom’s favourite flowers. Mom once told me that, if you planted your garden right, you could have irises throughout the spring and summer. I’ve had many different kinds of irises over the years, but currently only have a successful clump of Siberian irises that are thriving, and another colour variation that is working hard to get bigger. It’s difficult when your garden is predominantly a shade garden, but I have a few spots that I will try some new irises in once the renovations are done and we put the yard back together. So hopefully next year I can get some new ones underway.
