March 11, 2015 – I spent the day working on pulling together a lecture I am giving at the University tomorrow.
Loki was less than impressed at my focus…..
When he wasn’t sitting with his wet nose stuffed in my ear, his paw atop my head or shoulder – claws pulsing, or head butting me, he was trying to crawl into my lap or sit on my computer keyboard when I’d get up and put it on the chair.
Pets!
The good news is that I think I have a half decent lecture prepared.
Usually I give talks to people who know a lot about fish and not much about stress physiology. Tomorrow I am giving a talk to a class that has learned a lot about stress, and knows nothing about fish.
It was challenging to know where to draw the line, how high level or in depth to go. In the end I decided to keep it broad and let them ask questions where they have particular interests.
I’m stressed, and I’m giving a lecture on stress in fish, to a stress biology class.
Funny…no?
Loki doesn’t care though, he just wants love…and food of course.
(Crappy shot today, but I was preoccupied)

Yes, that’s totally familiar!
those little videos are so funny, and I don’t even own a cat!
I love Simons cat And subscribe to his YouTube channel 🙂
I see your cat, and raise you one child and one St. Patty’s Day hamster stuffy.
LOL! I suppose children can be a bit more distracting and skilled at dragging you away from your focus. I’ll keep my cats 😉
This is one thing that Boyfriend hasn’t figured out yet – fish tanks where we work are too mesmerizing!
😀
Laugh out loud funny! Sometimes the fish bump his tongue when he is drinking out of the top and it scares the pants off him. He has not tried even dipping his feet in.
But he must love the flavour they add to the water!
he won’t drink from anywhere else – umami!
