50/366 - Can we have a special day that doesn't involve candy sometime soon?
February 19, 2012 – Ran through the grocery store to pick up a few staples – yogurt, strawberries, mangoes, bananas, salad green – and all the Easter candies have now replaced the Valentine’s Day sweets in the bins near the healthy stuff.

Must resist, must resist!!!

Just realized this is photo number 50, a milestone photo, and I didn’t really spend a lot of time looking for something of any real interest because I didn’t realize it until too late in the day.

We had a lazy morning, I spent an hour and a half chatting with my mom on the phone, did a bit of grocery shopping, a late afternoon lunch at Seymour’s Pub, and then spent most of the evening working on some flyers for a motorcycle/scooter parking protest that I seem to have gotten myself involved in as one of a small group of organizers. But at least I sucked Kirk in with me 🙂

In one store here, the day before Valentines Day, they had the Valentines candy over in one section and were filling another with the Easter goodies… I couldn’t help but think it was so silly.. the way these days and holidays have become so commercial takes the joy and fun right out of them really. 🙂 lots of chocolate in this one.. LOL!

Ah, don’t even get me going…how early do you think they will start putting out Christmas items?

I have such a weakness for chocolate. At least they wrap them in foil so you have to work (at least a little bit) to get at it 🙂

Oh Wow! They’re out, I love chocolate easter eggs. I may have to work the foil to get at them, but I can do serious damage in an evening.
Now I’ll have to try and avoid the grocery store as much as possible.
