Jan 1, 2012 – Yes, I’m a sucker for punishment. Apparently I’m going to continue. I suppose I’m a bit concerned that I won’t keep active with my cameras, and I want to keep growing and learning.
A massive thank you to everyone who gave me inspiration and the energy to keep on with the last two, I hope you stick with me for the next one. Your comments, critiques, and encouragement help so much.
It’s a leap year, so there will be 366 shots for 366 days. More or less.
I accept that:
- Not every photo will be great
- Some days I will simply NOT want to pick up the camera, but I will anyway
- Some days I will have absolutely NO inspiration, yet I will still shoot
- There will be repeated themes, but ultimately they will still be different shots because the day is different, the light is different, my mood is different, and so on. So that’s OK!
I will try:
- New things….
- To take more photos of human beings
- To use more of the equipment that has been stagnant to try to justify its existence in our small space
- To include Kirk and I in the occasional photo (that’s for you Burns!)
So here we go again! Happy New Year to everyone. May it be filled with fabulous & yummy adventures for us all! Raising a glass of Prosecco (gifted to us, by good friends, at our wedding, almost three years ago) to you all.

Best of luck for a 3rd year Paige! And best wishes for 2012. I WILL be getting my camera out again.. took it for a quick walk today and have realised I’ve forgotten some very basic principles.
