Day 292 - Robertson Rules!

292/365 (Oct 19, 2011) – Here is a wonderful Canadian invention, one that you may never have encountered if you are an American. It’s called a Robertson screwdriver and it’s simply the best screwdriver in the world. Flatheads are a pain in the butt, they slip out all the time and you can hurt yourself when they do! Phillips are OK, but they slip out too easily without lots of pressure and they are famous for stripping screw heads. Hex’s are pretty good, but they can strip too, but the Robertson is simple, solid, hangs in there, gives the best leverage, and I’ve never stripped a screw with one yet.

(A play on words wrt Robert’s Rules)

a possibly dumb question……. does the screwhead have to be a robertson screw, in other words square and inset so the screwdriver bit will fit into it? (hmm, i suppose i could research this but it was just supposed to be a quick look at pics before heading back to bed.)

i LOVE that we are learning about products from all over the world!!! and neat job stacking them up and getting them to stay while you shot it.

And yes, the stacking took a few attempts!
