211/365 (July 30, 2010) – I know that B usually only goes to 15, but for us the winning number was B59. We have been members of a yacht club for almost 3 years now, and we have signed on to almost every available morrage posting in that time. But it takes time and patience to build up seniority, and we got lucky today because a smaller shed, oen that would fit our boat perfectly, came up and we were the senior members bidding on it.
What we are really after is an outside slip so we can start to plan for the sailboat down the road. But we’ll take this for now since it gets us in and brings the boat that much closer to where we live. And it is a wonderful shed, newly roofed, with a large storage locker, on the sunny side with no shed opposite it, so we can catch the afternoon/evening sun if we like.
And we can finally get maximum use out of the club, the workshop, the grid, etc. And enjoy more of the social side of things.
