I’m sure you’ve had this happen before. You’re on an escalator behind someone. When they arrive at the top they aren’t sure which way to go so they just stop. Unfortunately the escalator is still moving and disgorging more people at the top and the whole thing backs up. Ooops!
But I saw something else that was actually funnier today. I was in The Bay and when I headed for the escalator to go down, it wasn’t running. The woman in front of me just stopped and stared and said to her friend, “maybe there is an elevator”.
I’m not making this up.
