Should we or Shouldn’t we….?

by The Philosophical Fish

Hmmm, we were scheduled to go boating this weekend. Norvan’s first Labour Day weekend cruise to Gibsons.

I woke up at some point and heard Milo digging somewhere, thought I should check it out, luckily he was being busy in the right place. I thought it odd that he was up and using his litter box in the middle of the night. Then I looked at the clock…. it wasn’t 3 am after all, it was 6am. Man, was it dark!

I crawled back into bed and Kirk woke up… I asked him what time he thought it was ….mumble… “3:30?” Not looking good for boating…..

We snuggled in and watched a bit of Food Network for awhile and watched the rain start. Checked the weather report for Howe Sound…hmmm weather warning in effect and here’s the forecast for the long weekend…

Hey, it’s nice, 20 deg., and sunny here in Toronto. I’m out on the deck having a Coor’s. See ya.

Yes, but as you sit there and gloat, ponder this, Oh-Brother-in-Law-of-Mine (we can actually say that now,) ….. we haven’t had any appreciable rain since…..oh…let me think….April? 😉

Ahhh, yes dear sister-in-law. That’s because we have been having your typical weather here. Rain and cooler weather. Now only if the winter could be the same as yours. I quess it’s too much to ask for. Ahhh 🙂

It’s really very simple for you to have a winter the same as ours…pack up and move out here! We can offer warm winters, mountains, ocean, good food, good theatre, excellent music, temperate summers, skiing, hiking, biking, clean waters to swim in…oh yes… and no tornadoes, no tips of hurricanes, no blizzards, and no ice storms, and no wilting humidity levels in the summer…. an altogether civilized place to live really! 🙂
